Galileo's main failures
Galileo faced many
failures throughout his lifetime. His first failure came when he had presented
his ideas of astronomy to the church. The church had pre-established
expectations and concepts of the geocentric theory mean while Galileo believed
in the Heliocentric theory. Therefore for him to establish new scientific laws
and properties... it was unheard of. The church had therefore rejected his
concepts and disapproved of his theories. Later the church had also declared
Galileo as a heretic. This also had forced Galileo to halt all research and go
under arrest. Eventually Galileo was released and forced to cease all
research... ending his scientific career. Ultimately his failures were a result
of the time period he was in. Church had majority of the power and could control
what was allowed. This led to the punishments and death of Galileo
Galilei.
